At GEO Trading Solutions, LLC, our foundation is built on decades of expertise, guided by the visionary leadership of Gustavo E. Ortelli. With over 40 years of experience spanning engineering, sales, and management in the downstream petroleum and industrial sectors, Gustavo has consistently delivered innovative solutions for clients worldwide.
Gustavo earned his Mechanical Engineering degree in Buenos Aires, Argentina, providing him with a strong technical foundation that underpins his success in the industry. He later enhanced his leadership and business acumen by completing an MBA in the United States, equipping him to navigate the complexities of global markets effectively.
Gustavo’s career began in 1973 as a Senior Buyer for SEVEL S.A., a subsidiary of FIAT and Peugeot in Argentina, where he honed his technical expertise in industrial procurement.
In 1983, he transitioned to ESSO S.A.P.A. (an ExxonMobil subsidiary), marking the start of a distinguished tenure in the downstream petroleum industry. Over the next decade, he held pivotal roles, including Fuels and Lubricants Technical Services Specialist, Fuels Terminal Manager, and Sales Representative for retail and industrial business operations.
In 1993, Gustavo joined Perez Companc S.A. in Argentina, serving as Engineering Manager for Retail Downstream operations. Over nearly a decade, he led projects that optimized fuel networks and infrastructure, building his reputation as a trusted industry leader.
By 2003, Gustavo brought his expertise to the global stage, taking on Regional Sales Manager roles for Latin America and the Caribbean at leading firms such as Prologic Group and Hockman-Lewis Ltd. His work in this capacity emphasized strategic growth, export logistics, and the development of strong industry partnerships.
In 2008, leveraging his wealth of experience, Gustavo founded GEO Trading Solutions, LLC in Miami, Florida. His mission was clear: to provide the retail petroleum industry with world-class equipment, engineered solutions, and turn-key project management. Since then, GEO Trading Solutions has become a trusted partner for clients in Central America, the Caribbean basin, and Eastern Africa, driven by Gustavo’s deep knowledge and commitment to excellence.
